A One Day Adventure to the World Famous Brooks Falls

Travel to Brooks Lodge and experience the world famous bear viewing at Brooks Falls. This tour includes all of the round trip air transportation needed to reach Brooks from Anchorage.
Our day tours to Brooks depart Anchorage between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM, and arrive back in Anchorage the same day between 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Traveling to Brooks
Your travel to Brooks begins with an approx. one hour and fifteen minute flight from Anchorage to King Salmon, Alaska.
Upon arrival to King Salmon, you will be met by a member of our Katmai Air team who will shuttle you to our Katmai Air station located on the Naknek River. Here you will board a Katmai Air float plane for your scenic 20-minute flight to Brooks Lodge.
When You Arrive
Upon arrival, you will be met by a member of the Brooks Lodge staff to assist you off of the plane and direct you to a brief bear orientation administered by a National Park ranger (required for all visitors to Brooks).
During “Bear School,” you will be provided with a map of the area and will learn how to safely conduct yourself while exploring in bear country. Friendly park rangers are also available on-site to answer all of your questions about this incredible park as well.
Lunch
A hot buffet-style lunch is available each day in the Brooks Lodge dining area and can be purchased on-site.
Lunch options available typically consist of homemade soups, salad bar, two hot entree options, dessert, along with coffee, tea, and other beverage options.
Snacks, candy, and other smaller on-the-go options are also available for purchase at the Brooks Lodge gift shop.

Thanks to the addition of two Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, both of which feature an all-weather and pressurized environment, we also have a higher success rate of traveling to Brooks in inclement weather than most operators as well.
